Clear the Junk: Space is needed for Tomorrow

There gets a point of decision that past relationships that do not have a part in future remain in the past. It’s a case of press the delete key with emptying of the recycle bin. Ruthless, yes, but sensible. Clear the junk.
Memories often have the power to hold you to the past.  We need to clear the junk of some Memories to focus better on the present and future.  Someone once said the regrets of the past and the fear of the future are enemies of today’s progress.

You can’t drive safely if you keep looking at the rear-view mirror.  If a relationship has ended it has no place carrying up any memories, no matter how pleasant.  If you want to allow God to bring something new into your life clear the junk.   Forget and move on.

Fresh starts often require protection from distractions, particularly emotional ones.  We have to have a foundation for change.

Lay the past on the altar. It could be what is holding you back. Like Abram commanded to leave his family (including Lot) murk and all, leaving the past however dear may be where your blessings lie.
Fresh starts often require protection from distractions, particularly emotional ones.  We have to have a foundation for change. Change needs strong foundations to effectively establish better conditions.
We form good habits through disciplined focus.  We must replace those habits that distract us from where we aim to be. Any habit not moving us to where we need to be is not needed.
Every activity we undertake is at the expense of another possible activity. Getting to a position where we are driven by expectation for the future rather than the memories of the past is to be welcomed.
