I could not resist marking this day celebrated every year on July 23 – Gorgeous Grandma DAY!!

The origin stems from Alice Solomon who graduated from Wellesley College at the age of 50-years-old in 1984. She felt that society viewed women of her age and older as irrelevant and less than useful. She decided it was high time we ‘of a certain age’ were not only not discarded, but celebrated. Thus, National Gorgeous Grandma Day was born! I actually started this business when I was ….. well ….. er, let’s just say in that ball park age. There is no reason to give up at ANY AGE. All things are possible with the will and guts to take on the day!

How to Celebrate National Gorgeous Grandma Day

Spend the day treating your grandma! There is no shortage of ways to make the day a wonderful experience for both of you. What about brunch? Watch a funny (or those great tear jerkers) together. Cooking is a great way to bond and nourish each other body and soul. Grandmas love seeing their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Just seeing your face brings them joy!
