How to balance the different elements in the body

Introduction to Pancha Mahabhutas (Elements)

According to Ayurveda everything in the universe is made up of these five great elements: Pancha Mahabhutas; earth, water, fire, air and space (ether).

The same five elements exist in our Body. The percentage of each element, differs in every individual. The different proportions cause disturbance in our body.

Example: Too much fire in the body will create inflammation, while too much water can dampen fire (agni) and cause indigestion.

Thus, Yoga practice helps us balance these elements in our body. The asanas and pranayam work on these elements.

 About the Course

The 5 day course focuses on balancing the five elements in the body. We have five different teachers from different parts of the world; California, UK, Auckland, Dubai and India who have come together for Pancha Mahabhutas.

Asana, Pranayam and Meditation practice is an integral part of the course. A balanced sequence of asana that includes some movement and some stillness; helps in the proper distribution of the energy into the elements. As the prana moves up and down in the body, we awaken certain parts of the body with consciousness and energy; coaxing the elements into balance.
