Benefits of Practicing Yoga & Meditation in Nature

I love practicing Yoga and Meditation in my room or a yoga studio. But the days, I set out in midst of nature or on my terrace. My practice is more exhilarating and being mindful is natural.

Benefits of Practicing Yoga & Meditation in Nature

1) Balance the negative ions in your body through earthing

When we practice yoga barefoot; we connect to the negative ions in the earth. These ions flow into the bod. Thereby, decreasing inflammation, blood pressure and restoring the natural vigor of the body. Besides, there is no need to ground your practice; as one is grounded in the most literal way.

2) Raise your Prana level

One of the best ways to raise your energy, is to spend time in nature. We all are atoms vibrating at different speeds. And being in nature helps raise our energy levels. While giving us a sense of calm and well being.

3) Healthy dose of Vitamin D and Oxygen

Being outdoors gives us a chance to breathe fresh air and get a healthy dose of Vitamin D. Which is difficult, as we spend a lot of time indoors.

4) Soothe your senses to the nature’s music

We all like a little background music when practicing yoga or meditation. In midst of nature, we hear the wind, birds, the leaves rustling. It is a great playlist that helps us connect to ourselves better.

Nature has a way of demanding our attention and our focus. It forces us to simplify our thoughts much like meditation does. We focus on what’s right in front of us. Thereby, becoming present. We turn away from our screen and gadgets. In turn, we tune into life in real time and develop a heightened sense of awareness. We simply notice things; the sunshine, the breeze, the sounds and the smells.
