President Trump and the Covid-19 Wuhan Coronavirus Pandemic

There has been a lot of discussion and blaming President Trump for the current situation with the Covid-19 Coronavirus outbreak that was recognized first in Wuhan China. There are those who say that President Trump took action too late. Since I have been following this outbreak and pandemic since back last January, I am aware of much that has transpired.

When I first started reporting on this, 23 Jan 2020, there were only 800 cases reported worldwide and only 25 deaths reported world wide. If you look back at the time, there was almost nobody calling for a travel ban or anything else to stop the spread. You can look back to the posts from that period and see that this is true.  Certainly NOT former VP Joe Biden. In fact, the first mention that Joe Biden made to this problem was on 27 Jan 2020 where he mentioned: "The possibility of a pandemic is a challenge Donald Trump is unqualified to handle as president". In other words, he was not making any suggestions, only attempting to discredit the administration. As a point, there has been as of yet, little effort on the part of Biden to propose any solution to resolve the problem, only taking as much political advantage as possible.

The day before Biden's comments, on 26 Jan 2020, I posted "Since I first reported on this outbreak, just 5 days ago, the numbers have more than tripled. Actually, 5 days ago, the reported death toll was only 6. The indicated rate is doubling about every 30 to 36 hours.  By 1 Feb 2020, there will be at least 16000 cases and 200 deaths. I am sure that due to delays in reporting, that this number has likely been far exceeded already. That would extend to 8 million cases and 25000 deaths by the end of Feb 2020". As far as the numbers for 1 Feb, I was right on the money in my prediction. President Trump, however, took action and stopped all air traffic between the US and China and this went against the advice of the Coronavirus task force, including Anthony Fauci who strongly opposed the shutdown. Former VP, Joe Biden, referred to president Trump as a xenophobe and this shows the real nature of things. No matter what President Trump did he was discredited and maligned for his choices. The truth is that the 1 week early closing of air Travel literally stopped thousands of infected people from entering the US and has save at least thousands of lives if not millions. Thank you President Donald Trump.

In March, the outbreak had spread to Europe but appeared to be localized so a travel ban from European countries to the US was not placed until 13 March 2020. Many claim that this was late and it might have been, but at that point, the WHO had just considered the outbreak to be a Pandemic on the 11th. As a note, on March 13, 2020, there was only 450 deaths reported in the entire world. Why did the outbreak get to be so bad in the US then? Again, if you look back at the posts from the middle of March 2020, there was a lot of posts claiming that this was a bogus pandemic and that they were only trying to shut us down. There were very few who were calling for a shutdown or for restricting air travel from Europe at the time.

One main reason why it got to be so bad int he US is that there were many US citizens abroad who were allowed to come back and were supposed to quarantine but not all did. Some did but many did not quarantine and those ended up spreading the disease, especially through hot spots such as nursing homes, convalescent facilities, and assisted living facilities. Sadly, in some states, Covid-19 positive individuals were sent to some of these facilities to recover rather than kept in hospitals. This was the choice of state governments to allow this and this is a place were consequential problems arose in increased infection rates and higher mortality.

So, all in all, President Trump has done an outstanding job. Again, if you bothered to read my blog posts going all the way back into January, you would see that if Trump did nothing, there would have been massive deaths in the US. In fact, I wrote on Jan. 29th: "By 1 Feb 2020, there may be as many as 48000 cases and several hundred deaths where 16000 cases and 200 deaths had been predicted by the authorities. I am sure that due to delays in reporting, that this number has likely been far exceeded already. If the increased rate persists, it could extend to 25 million cases and over 100,000 deaths by the mid Feb 2020." The action that Trump took at the end of Jan ( against the advice of the Covid-19 task force ), caused a significant saving of life. His blocking of air travel from the EU also saved many lives. https://zapperdave.blogspot.com/.../wuhan-coronavirus... President Trump should be given credit for his good choices. As I noted above, Former VP Joe Biden called Trump A Xenophobe which is a SOLID indication that Biden would have allowed the pandemic to spread in opposition to what he is currently trying to claim. Under Biden, we could have 10 to 20 times the death toll. Here, I would like for you to note that the great majority of cases and deaths in the US were from North Eastern and New England states such as New York, New Jersey, Mass, Conn, etc. In many of these states, they insisted on extensive intubation and forcing Covid infected individuals into nursing homes. That is one reason why Covit-19 has managed to have a higher than expected loss of life in the US.

It is not the fault of President Trump.

So, what next? Do expect the second wave with a significant increase in mortality and a subsequent shutdown. People who had the illness during the summer will be happy that they did so.

This brings me to another important point.

October through December are traditionally known to be bad months for colds and flu, Since Coronavirus is generally a cold virus we should expect the outbreak to get much worse in the months of October, November, and possibly December. Not only that, but we should expect the mortality to significantly increase during those months. There is a reason for this and it is negligent of the medical community not to inform people about the reasons.

If you look back over the history of this outbreak it is possible to see a trend in mortality. Early on, there was very high mortality during the months of January through March of those who were infected with Covid-19. From late march on, the mortality rate has been slowly decreasing. If you plot this against environmental factors, it can be seen that the infection rate and mortality both decrease with sunlight exposure. Sunlight exposure equals increased vitamin D production.

Vitamin D is tightly tied to immunity and overall health.A decrease in vitamin D levels in the body is one definite link to increased flu and cold numbers in the fall and is also linked to other things such as cancer and heart attacks. So, why has the medical community not been telling us about this? In fact, why are they providing conflicting and misleading information about the importance of vitamin D and the amounts that you should take?

Profit from selling vaccines and cold medications is what keeps the pharmaceutical industry afloat. If they were to let you know the truth about vitamin D and other things such as inexpensive germ killing zappers, they would suffer significant loss of income. While the RDA for vitamin D3 is 400 to 800 IU, it is common for many to take 4000 IU to as much as 10,000 IU daily in the winter months.

The relationship between vitamin D and surviving Covid-19 is the fact that dark skinned people are at much higher risk of dying from Covid-19 and that they are documented to generally have lower levels of vitamin D. Live longer, take plenty of vitamin D if you are not getting sufficient sun exposure.
