I have been following this Wuhan Coronavirus / Covid-19 for a while and it really bothers me to hear people complain about fear mongering. I think that these people need to stop and take pause.
Many things are actually being under-reported and many things are being suppressed.
The actual Mortality, if you look at the reports for today:
Total cases shown: 80,000
Deaths so far 2699
Mortality = 3.37 percent ( twice the flu mortality rate. ) The CDC has been telling us 1 to 2 percent for the last month and a half. Obviously, they are either wrong or just not being truthful.
However, the real mortality should be Deaths over closed cases.
Closed cases are cases with no remaining infection, either you get well or you do not. ( Deaths + Recovered ) = 30275
Close case Mortality = 8.9 percent
After all, you can not know if a person will survive or not until their case has been closed.
I would expect the 8.9 percent to drop but the 3.37 percent will rise until they meet, probably around 6 to 7 percent.
Our of every 1 million who get ill enough to report their illness, you can expect 65000 deaths and that literally is nothing to sneeze at.
