One question I get asked a lot is what’s the difference between a crown and a veneer. Both are made of porcelain the same exact porcelain. The difference is with a veneer you’re really just cementing a thin porcelain covering on the front surface of the tooth. A crown goes circumferentially around the tooth. It’s made of the same porcelain, it just encompasses or surrounds more of the tooth than a veneer would.
