PerkinElmer India was felicitated with the Leadership Award for contribution in Healthcare at the Elets Healthcare Summit, Karnataka, on April 11 at Bangalore. This award was accepted by Jayashree Thacker, President – PerkinElmer India from KR Ramesh Kumar, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karnataka and KK Shylaja Teacher, Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Government of Kerala.

Other dignitaries present included K Rajeshwara Rao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India; Dr Rathan Kelkar, Mission Director, Government of Karnataka; Rina Desai, Head of Biocon Foundation; TL Alamelu, Director and General Manager, New India Health Insurance; and senior personnel from UNDP, World Bank, Public Health Foundation of India, UNESCO, Karnataka Health Promotion Trust and various other private institutions and non-government organisations.

The summit was organised by Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Karanataka and National Health Mission, Karantaka alongwith Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd.

The main focus of this summit was on four thematic areas: Best practices in healthcare delivery, Leadership and Governance to Healthcare Delivery, Strengthening coordination – Self Help Group Model for Health, and Information Communication Technology in Healthcare.
