I headed to the Studio this morning and had a peaceful solo Practice at 8 AM. I figured I might as well practice there rather than at home, since I was asked yesterday to open the studio for their 10 AM class.
No major highlights practice-wise, except for the fact that I practiced. being able to start Sunday with a full Primary Series practice is a highlight in and of itself, as far as I'm concerned. The feeling that I get as I approach closing is priceless. Maybe the fact that by then backbends are all done with and out of the way has something to do with that feeling of joy. I sometimes think that Urdva Danhurasanas were invented in the old days of India to torture people. Maybe they were used to teach a lesson to people who decided to mingle with folks from a lower caste.
The advanced 9 AM class yesterday, Saturday, was hard with long holds, but my hips and lower back felt quite opened, so no complaints there.
