Maxim Healthcare Services Appoints New Clinical Leader
Columbia, Maryland-based Maxim Healthcare Services has appointed Kellie Lanier as Senior Vice President of Clinical operations. Maxim is a provider of home health care, personal care, behavioral care, staffing, and population health and wellness services and was founded in 1988. It operates more than 260 offices around the U.S.
Lanier joined Maxim in 2007 as clinical supervisor for the company’s Wilmington, North Carolina, office. Since then, she has held multiple leadership roles. In her new position, she will oversee all clinical strategies and initiatives across the organization, working closely with former Senior Vice president of Clinical Operations Cheryl Nelson. Nelson is transitioning to a part-time role focus on project-based clinical initiatives.
Prior to joining Maxim, Lanier worked at the Coastal Rehabilitation Hospital in Wilmington as a certified nursing assistant, registered nurse and RN coordinator.
PointClickCare Names Executive to Home Care Division
PointClickCare, a cloud-based software and services company, has named Mark Tomzak as the executive vice president and general manager of the company’s home care division.
In his new role, Tomazk will be responsible for directing the home care business group and ensuring all cross-functional teams are in lock-step.
Tomzak brings more than 30 years of health care technology experience to the role. For the past 11 years, he has served as CEO of Smartlinx and CareWorx. Prior to that, he served as vice president of sales, marketing and implementation at Achieve Healthcare Technologies, and as chief operating officer at the EnVision Group, Inc., and Medical Learning, Inc.
PointClickCare’s home care division offers a clinical and financial electronic health record platform, a remote care solution, and cross-continuum benefits to customers who are providing both facility-based and in-home care.
LeadingAge’s Nora Gibson to Step Down as Executive Director of Full Life Care
Nora Gibson announced Feb. 1 she will begin transitioning into retirement and will step down from her full-time role as executive director at Full Life Care, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for frail elders and adults with chronic or terminal illness and disabilities. Full of Life Care is an affiliate of LeadingAge.
Dave Budd, who has been with the agency for 22 years, most recently serving as assistant director, will take over the leadership role.
Full Life Care services thousands of adults in Seattle with chronic or terminal illnesses and disabilities, helping them live as independently as possible.
Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. Hires New CEO
New Hartford, New York-based Hospice & Palliative Care Inc. (HPCI) has appointed Shannon Cayea as its new CEO. HPCI has been providing end-of-life care to residents of Oneida, Herkimer and Eastern Madison counties in New York since 1977.
Cayea, who most recently serviced as CEO at Elderwood at Wheatfield in Niagara Country, will replace Ann Tonzi as CEO.
