Follow 3 Simple Night Time Skin Care Routine For All Skin Types

It’s all too easy to get all mixed and mashed up with so many skincare products – all being marketed to give you the beauty transformation of your dreams. When you’re in your 30’s and have basically tried every hyped up product line, you have earned the right to respond, “Really?” Because, Honey, if taming Skin were that simple then, we would all be having silky, flawless skin by now, wouldn’t we.

The Basic 3-Step Nighttime Skincare Routine

Unfortunately, our individual skins are so much more complicated, widely varied and uniquely different from each other. The differences can be subtle or profound but one thing is for sure: there is no one-shot-fits-all approach when it comes to skincare. Though, you may be surprised still that there are three steps in your nighttime Routine that you must never neglect:

Step 1: Clear and Cleanse

This step includes your efforts at ridding your skin of impurities, dry skin, excess oils, dirt and makeup before you hit the bed at night. Start by tackling your makeup. Using a facial cotton damp with oil-based makeup remover, wipe away impurities from your skin. Don’t forget to swipe the same over your mascara, and on your neck and chest as well.

Then, wash using a Mild Facial Cleanser and lukewarm water. Any mild facial cleanser should be good enough to use on any skin type. Pat dry with a soft towel.

Step 2: Tone. Immediately follow up Step 1 with a soothing toner. A non-toxic brand that is not alcohol-based and does not contain any drying alcohol should be good enough for use on any type of skin. Toning closes the pores immediately to prevent moisture from escaping through the surface of the skin.

The newer breed of toners also serve moisturizing benefits and contain antioxidants that add protection for the skin to become better capable of resisting damage.

Step 3: Moisturize. Performing this step is important for either daytime or nighttime but most especially for nighttime. That’s because the primary objective for putting together your nighttime routine is to regenerate your skin. A regular moisturizer may be enough for younger skin types but, not for mature skin above 30 years.

At the very least, people over 30 should apply a product that contains antioxidants, natural skin brighteners, and collagen-boosting ingredients that all work together to make up for the general slow down of skin cell repair functions. CONCLUSION

Halle Berry was once quoted in ‘People’ saying, ”Let me tell you something—being thought of as a beautiful woman has spared me nothing in life. No heartache, no trouble. Love has been difficult. Beauty is essentially meaningless and it is always transitory.” She’s got a point but still, there’s nothing inherently wrong in wanting to be beautiful.
