Does Morpheus Reduce Fat

Radiofrequency Microneedling is all over the news. Profound, Pixel8, Sylfirm, and Morpheus8 are just some of the available technologies you might hear about. Here at TSC we evaluated them all and selected Morpheus8 as our go-to radiofrequency Microneedling procedure. Here is what Radiofrequency Microneedling can do for you.

Morpheus8 is a controlled way of putting Energy into the Skin. When we put energy into the skin, it shrinks and tightens. Very precise administration of radiofrequency energy will permit safe and maximal contraction of the skin by tightening collagen and increasing elastin, both of which are important features of young and healthy skin. If you put in too much energy, you get a burn. But, the skilled operators at TSC know just what settings to use to get you what you need. We might set the machine to tighten loose skin, or we may set it to remodel scar tissue and stretch marks. Perhaps we will focus on shrinking pores. Often, multiple areas of improvement are desired so you’ll see us adjusting the approach as we go.

So, what about fat?

There are lots of areas of the face where you want to increase volume. These include your temples, nasolabial folds, and cheekbones, among others. But, there are some areas where we may want to reduce fat such as chubby cheeks, under the chin (“the double chin”), and sometimes the jowls. With Morpheus 8 we can choose to protect or reduce the fat in the area. By adjusting the depth, strength, and direction of the energy we can keep the volume you need and help to reduce some of the fat you don’t want. If you have a lot of fat to reduce, there are other approaches that will be more efficient (such as FaceTite, AccuTite, and liposuction). And, we can still use Morpheus to refine the fat and tighten skin and hold loose fat in place better. Morpheus 8 is a fantastic approach for better-looking and tighter skin, and you may find we recommend it during your consultation with us.

One of the best things about Morpheus8 is that it can be used on every skin type. Whether you have very dark skin or very pale skin, we can control the energy for an effective and safe result. Another great thing is that there is very little downtime afterward. You’ll definitely look quite red and possibly be showing several little raised dots on your skin afterward. This is representative of local inflammation caused by the small microneedles used to deliver the energy. Fortunately, that goes away quite quickly. You may see a little redness or even a few small pinpoint scabs the next day, but, for most people, it is of little concern and they can go about their regular activities without worry. Morpheus 8 works great in all parts of the body. We can improve your facial skin, neck, eyelids, elbows, knees, arms, hands, stretch marks on the belly, and cheeks (both types!).

Here’s what you can expect when you schedule a Morpheus 8 treatment at TSC. First, we’ll get you a topical anesthetic cream. Make sure you have no other creams, ointment, cosmetics, or oil on your face, and apply the anesthetic cream when you head over to our center. When you arrive, we’ll wash off your skin which should be comfortably numb. Then we’ll do the treatment. Afterward, we’ll ask you to apply a special serum for the best results. This serum delivers healing proteins and calming essences to the skin. It’s important not to use any other products on your skin for the first 3 days because not every product is safe to use immediately the way the serum is.

Morpheus 8 will show its best results several months after treatment but you’re very likely to notice a good change after even 1 week. And, while one treatment is good, getting three treatments in a row is going to be significantly better. Morpheus8 radiofrequency is a powerful tool to keep you looking good.
