Who is Chinta Devi?

Chinta Devi once used to be a vegetable seller, also she was a sanitation worker also. She did odd jobs to make her living and raising her three children.

All three sons are also working as sanitation workers.

Chinta Devi has been selected as the Deputy Mayor and its a kind of dream coming true for Chinta Devi who worked as manual scavenger for 40 years before getting selected as Deputy Mayor.

Chinta Devi is living in Gaya where she became the Deputy Mayor. She won the election with a margin of many thousands votes.

She was reluctant in the beginning while filing the nomination for the election but many people including sweepers persuaded her to stand for the position.

Chinta Devi will sit in the office where she was working as a sweeper and make plans for the cleanliness of the city.

Chinta Devi’s husband had already passed away but she never gave up her spirits and always performed her duty with responsibility.

She kept the city clean and and created respect for her in hearts of other people.

After getting retirement in the year 2020, Chinta Devi started selling vegetable for survival. But even then also she did not move away from her duty of cleanliness and tried to make the city clean and beautiful.
