Actor Om Puri died due to massive heart attack in early morning on 6 January 2007 at the age of 66 Years.
He was born on 18 October 1950 to a punjabi family in Ambala.
Om Puri was awarded with Padma Shri in 1990, which is the fourth highest civilian award. He was also made an honorary Officer of the Order of the British Empire.
Om Puri had also won the National Film Award for Best Actor for his films Arohan and Ardh Satya.
