Merry Christmas! Last year, my holiday decorations were a little muted because I was still recovering from being sick, so this year was a little bit *extra* with 7 Christmas trees.
No one needs this many decorations, but I really enjoy putting them up and looking at all the lights and glitter throughout the season. My mom loved Christmas decorations and putting them up brings nice memories. She would have loved them!
Entry Christmas Tree: Plum, Burgundy, and Gold
This tree in the entry is one I always have a hard time photographing, but it so pretty in person. It’s full of red, plum, and gold glass ornaments, ribbons and berries.
The stairway has long needle pine garland.
Formal Room: Animal Print Tree
The formal room (I truly don’t know its purpose, but it’s cute??!) is where the animal print tree is. I have a previous tutorial on how I put designed this tree.
Dining Room: Chinoiserie Blue, Green and White Christmas Tree
This was an addition last year after I refreshed our dining room. It is a heavily flocked tree with blue, green, and white ribbons, magnolia flowers and stems, and ginger jar, crystal drop, and foo dog ornaments.
Kitchen Christmas Decorations
This year, I came across some cute wreaths sold in packs of 3 at Target, and I bought a few packs to use around the house. I ended up adding them to the cabinets with some 1″ faux dupioni ribbon, and tied 3 together to hang on a door. I made the magnolia wreath on the pantry door (in the back) during an online workshop. I love fresh magnolia and would love to drape it all over the house! But, a wreath had to do for this year!
The flowers on the table were a combo of fresh ones from Costco and Trader Joe’s. A good combo!
Living Room: Gold Magnolia Christmas Tree
This is a 12 foot beast of a tree that is covered in large gold beaded magnolia flowers, pearl floral stems, crystal balls, and some long needle pine. This tree also has a special addition of an old magnolia floral stem that we had in decorations growing up. I don’t have much from my childhood, so it was a really special find that was packed away.
I added seasonal art I found on Etsy to the Samsung Frame TV. The TV is new and I’ll have to share about it later – I love the look and flexability.
The fireplace garland is long needle pine, magnolia leaves, berries, and gold glittered leaves.
Basement: Sentimental/Family Christmas Tree
The basement is our real hangout space, and there’s no better place for our sentimental/family Christmas tree. I get asked “what do you do about “regular” ornaments?” and this is my answer. It’s full of ornaments collected throughout the years.
Office: Silver Tinsel Christmas Tree
This silver tinsel tree is in my office and is accented with glittery pink ornaments, reindeer, and other colorful baubles. It’s always the first tree to go up because it’s one I can store in one piece with a trash bag over it haha!
Bedroom Simple Silver and White tree
This tree is new this year, and I love it so much. The tree itself is great quality, has tons of microlights that shine brightly, and required very little shaping. It’s in our bedroom, and I set the timer to have it on while we fall asleep. I decorated it with simple glass ornaments from Target in silver mercury, clear, and white. The tree collar is also from Target.
