The ten highest wholesome snacks for at the move


If you don’t spend a little time preparing, you’ll spend a lot of time regretting it, and no one wants that. Most people say they don’t have time, but these snacks are easy to make and perfect to pack. Forget the guilt and grab the 10 best Healthy snacks on the go.

If you use mine Hot Body Meal Plan You already know many of these snacks. They are designed to give you energy, burn fat and keep you full. When you eat the right ratio of fats, carbohydrates and proteins throughout the day, you curb cravings and teach your body to work for you!

You can make these in bulk and portion them into sealable containers or containers to store in the fridge or freezer. Spending just 30 minutes getting your snack game on point will save you a whole lot of HANGRY calories.

My favorites are almonds, pecans, pistachios, walnuts and macadamia nuts. These nuts contain tons of nutrients as well as healthy fats and proteins.

It’s important to remember that too much of a good thing is not good. Although they are super healthy, nuts contain a lot of fat. It’s easy to mindlessly sit around and eat handful after handful, but that can quickly add up to hundreds of calories.

Snack portion:

Stick to about 15-20 whole nuts, a small handful, or about 1-2 tablespoons of nut butter. Eat them slowly and enjoy every bite!

Vegetables and hummus

This one is foolproof. Vegetables like celery, cucumbers and carrots make great hummus scoops. They can easily be purchased in bulk, washed, chopped, and packaged to take home.

Hummus itself is great because it’s full of fiber and protein. I prefer to make my own (recipe in Hot Body Meal Plan), because you can avoid unnecessary ingredients and season it however you like!

Snack portion:

1-2 tbsp hummes + as many vegetables as you like!

Apple and nut butter

I don’t know if it keeps the doctor away, but an apple fills you up! It contains just enough sugar to satisfy sweet cravings, and when combined with 1 tablespoon of your favorite nut butter, it will keep you full with healthy fats and proteins too!

My favorites are peanut, almond and cashew butter. The key is to find ones that ONLY contain NUTS. No added oils, sugar or salts.

I also love these little, individual, on-the-go snack packs from Justin’s. They make transporting your snack MUCH easier and you can eat it straight from the package.

Snack portion:

1-2 tbsp nut butter + 1 medium apple

fresh spring rolls

It’s like a mini sandwich without the processed bread you don’t need. They taste so good in summer! Fresh, easy to grab and go and you can make them vegetarian or add protein!

It’s literally rice paper with whatever veggies or proteins you want to add. I like to make carrots, zucchini, spinach, avocado and cooked shrimp.

Snack portion:

1-2 rolls

Hard boiled eggs

Hard boiled eggs are #1 for me. They are literally the perfect source of protein and one of the easiest on-the-go snacks. I know they can smell weird, but oh well… it’s worth it.

All you have to do is put the eggs in a pot and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil, cover and remove from heat. Let them rest for about 15 minutes and enjoy.

Boom! Healthy snack to take with you!

Greek yogurt parfait

This is my FAVORITE snack ever! Ok…it really is like a dessert that I LOVE!

I use mine homemade granola, it is much healthier than store-bought stuff. Use PLAIN 0% Greek yogurt and top with granola and fresh blueberries.

If you just can’t handle plain Greek yogurt, that’s okay. Just make sure you find one that is low in sugar, ideally under 10g per serving.

Snack portion:

1 cup Greek yogurt

2 tbsp muesli

1/4 cup blueberries

Turkey jerky

It’s an easy, protein-rich, on-the-go snack. However, some are also full of sugar and it’s hard to avoid the high sodium content.

When purchasing dried meat, look for ingredient lists with as few ingredients as possible. Try to find ones that have less than 3g of sugar per serving and less than 12% sodium, and drink plenty of water so it isn’t held back by the salt.

Egg muffins

Eggs aren’t just for breakfast lovers! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!

I’m trying to make these Breakfast muffins At least every two weeks so I can keep some in the fridge and others in the freezer. They’re easy to take with you for breakfast or as a simple on-the-go snack.

Snack portion:

2 muffins

cottage cheese

It may not seem very exciting on its own, but cottage cheese is a great protein-packed snack that’s easy to make delicious.

Add spices or avocado to make it savory or sweeten it with fresh fruit. In any case, it’s a good FATTIFIING snack that you can enjoy without feeling guilty.

Snack portion:

3/4 cup

Smoothies

Smoothies are one of those snacks that can make or break your day. It’s easy to load them with tons of ingredients and turn a snack into an all-day calorie supply.

Try using water instead of milk when using a protein powder and stick with lower-sugar fruits like berries and apples. Avocado is a great addition to consuming and preparing healthy fats Smoothie even smoother!
