The couple met at Michigan University in the year 1961 when they were both performing on-campus production of Carousel.  Bob James was playing Piano in the orchestra while Judy Heric was playing the role of Carrie Pipperidge. James and Judy dated throughout their time at Michigan University and got married in 1963.

According to Famousfix, James met two people who would later become essential parts of his career: Judy and Jack O’Brien who later become a broadway producer. 

Like many other love stories, the lovers got married in the presence of their families in Travers City in the year 1963 and lived together for 53 years with a child.

Robert Bob James, the husband of the late Judith Heric is an American jazz keyboardist, arranger, and record producer born on December 25, 1939, in Marshall, Missouri, USA. James is known for his smooth jazz style, and he has released over 30 solo albums throughout his career.

James began playing piano at a young age and studied music at the University of Michigan. He then moved to New York City, where he started his career as a session musician and arranger. He worked with a wide range of artists, including Sarah Vaughan, Stanley Turrentine, and Quincy Jones.

In the 1970s, James began recording his own music, and he quickly became known for his unique blend of jazz, funk, and pop. He formed the group Fourplay in 1990 with other renowned jazz musicians such as Nathan East, Harvey Mason, and Lee Ritenour. They have released over a dozen albums together.
