Vishuddha Chakra

Vishuddha Chakra

Hi,
    In our previous posts, we learned about The Muladhara Chakra, Swadhishthana Chakra, Manipura Chakra, and Anahata Chakra. Now in this post, we take a step forward and try to get some knowledge about another most important human Chakra called, “Vishuddha Chakra”.

Vish = poison, impurity

purification = removal of residues

The Vishuddha Chakra is located in the throat. Its mantra is "हं ","Hum". The color of Vishuddha Chakra is purple. In this cycle our consciousness reaches the fifth level. Its equivalent element is akasha (space). We can also translate it as 'Ishvara' (Lokottara), meaning that this place should be full of energy. Vishuddha Chakra is the starting point of Udana Prana. It is the process of this prana to purify the toxic substances of the body at the time of respiration. It is because of this main function that the name of this chakra is derived. Purification is not only done at the physical level but also at the level of emotion and mind. The problems and sad experiences we have 'swallowed' and buried inside in life remain in our subconscious mind until we face them and resolve them intelligently.

The deity of the Vishuddha Chakra is the creator, Brahma, who symbolizes consciousness. In meditation when one's consciousness merges with the sky, we get wisdom and intelligence. The animal symbolizing the Vishuddha Chakra is a white elephant. We also see the image of a moon in its picture which is the symbol of the mind.

The Vishuddha Chakra represents the innumerable feelings of happiness and freedom that swell our abilities and skills. With this level of development, there is a clear voice, talent for singing and speaking, as well as a balanced and calm thought.

Until this chakra is fully developed, certain difficulties may be experienced. Blockage in the Vishuddha chakra causes feelings of anxiety, lack of freedom, bondage, tension, and throat problems. Some physical difficulties, such as swelling and slurred speech, may also be encountered.

The symbol of the Vishuddha Chakra is a lotus with sixteen petals. It symbolizes the sixteen powerful arts (qualities) that a human being can develop. Since Vishuddha Chakra is the center of sound, the number sixteen also symbolizes the sixteen vowels in Sanskrit. In this center one can experience eloquence, which is such an extraordinary ability that whatever a person speaks turns out to be true.

The Characteristics of Vishuddha Chakra

The element of the Vishuddha chakra is related to the sky or space. This cycle opens up for us the possibility of expanding the space perspective. It symbolizes the energy to seek and speak the truth.
It also governs our inner communication with our true self.
When this chakra is balanced, we are able to listen to the guidance of pure energy. We are able to understand others deeply and effectively.
The blue color element of the fifth of the seven chakras in our body explores all levels of self-expression. Blue is the color of communication, which gives us the power to speak the truth.
Blue is also located on the cooler end of the color spectrum. The color blue allows the body and mind to feel at peace. It also represents a pure mind, which is necessary to be free from any negative thoughts.

Pure Chakra Beej Mantra

Its seed mantra is the syllable “Hum” and is written in white on the chakra. In the Bindu or the point above the mantra, the deity Sadashiva resides.
Who has 5 faces, representing the spectrum of smell, taste, sight, touch, and sound, and 10 arms. The right half of his body is white Shiva, and the left half of the body is golden Shakti.
He is holding a trident, chisel, sword, vajra, fire, a great snake, a bell, a goad and a noose and is making a gesture of dispelling fear.
He is wrapped in tiger skin. Her Shakti is Shakini, shining white, seated on a red lotus with five faces, three eyes each, and four arms, with a bow and arrow.

The Vishuddha Chakra has 16 purple petals with 16 Sanskrit vowels written in gold.  “अ” “आ” “आ” “आ” ” इ” ” ई” ” ई” ” उ” ” यू” ” ऊ” ” ऋ” ” ए” “ई” ” ऐ” ” ऐ” ” ओ ” ” ओ” ” औ” ” औ” ” अः” ” अं “
The petals correspond to the Vitis of the Ong [Om] mantras, the Sama-mantras, the Trishanku mantras, Phat, Vashat, Svadha, Swaha and Namak, the nectar nectar and the seven musical notes.
The Vishuddha Chakra is known as the purification center, where Amrita drips from the Bindu Chakra, and splits into pure form and poison.
In its most abstract form, it is associated with higher differentiation, and with creativity and self-expression.
It is believed that when the Vishuddha Chakra closes, a person decays and dies. When it is open, negative experiences are transformed into knowledge and learning.
It is said that one's success and failure in life depends on one's condition, whether polluted or clean.
Guilt is said to be the main reason for preventing the Kundalini energy from moving upwards through this chakra.
It is associated with the sky, or ether, and with the sense of hearing as well as with the act of speaking. It is said that by meditating on this chakra, various siddhis or secret powers are attained.
Vision of past, present and future, freedom from disease and old age, destruction of troubles and ability to travel in all three worlds.

Vishuddha Chakra imbalance problems in the Body

  • When the energy of the Vishuddha Chakra is imbalanced in our body, the flow of communication breaks down. We refuse to listen to our inner self and to others.
  • Others don't understand us, and feelings of loneliness surround us. There are symptoms of an afflicted Throat Chakra.
  • Hesitating to express his feelings.
  • Lack of vocabulary to describe your feelings.
  • Feeling misunderstood by the people around you.
  • Aggressive behavior.
  • Use of negative words and actions.
As this chakra is associated with the throat, physical problems appear due to imbalance. Sore throat, fluctuating hormone levels, and pain or stiffness in the neck area can be symptoms of a misaligned throat chakra.
