Eliminate Your Anxiety With These 3 Elements.

There are many ways to help overcome panic or anxiety attacks and natural methods have proven to be very helpful. If you suffer from panic attacks and haven't tried these methods yet, give them a try, you might find it helps. Below are some things you can try, of course there are many more, but this would be a good start in your search for natural remedies for your anxiety.

1. There are natural herbs that are proven to calm and, conversely, help reduce anxiety. One of these is passionflower, which has a long history of use in folk medicine for insomnia and anxiety problems. Chamomile is another herb that can calm your nerves when you feel anxious or nervous.

There are also other herbs that are used for relaxation and you should do your own research to make sure any of these products are right for you. Some of them are known to have side effects, so be sure before using them.

2. Learning how to breathe properly would be important for anyone, whether you suffer from anxiety or not. Poor breathing can lead to problems such as hyperventilation, which can cause symptoms of chest pain and a rapid heartbeat, two symptoms of an anxiety attack.

Good breathing technique is a great way to calm your mind when you feel anxious or feel a panic attack coming on. Using the right calming breathing techniques will help reduce anxiety and its symptoms.

If you've never tried any calming breathing techniques, you'll find that some of them are easy to do, while others might take some work. But the more you use them, the easier it will be to learn to calm down during a panic attack.

One method is simply deep breathing. While this may not be the best way to help relieve an anxiety attack, it is still a good tool to use. All you have to do is take a slow deep breath in and out. Inhale and let your belly expand as if you were breathing into your stomach. What you're doing is you're getting oxygen deeper into your lungs instead of the upper half of them. Coupled with deep breathing, let your mind and body relax.

The best way to do this is to find a quiet place and sit in a chair. Sit with your back straight and your hands on the armrests of the chair, if there are any. Breathe in slowly through your nose for 5 counts. Stop and hold your breath for a few seconds, then exhale through your mouth for 5 seconds. Let your breath come out quietly, don't force it. Repeat this at least ten times.

Remember that this may take some practice, but in a short time you will be able to enjoy how relaxing it is. Breathing this way will even lower your blood pressure. One way to check is to use one of those blood pressure monitors you see in stores. Check your blood pressure and then repeat it after some relaxing deep breathing, see how it lowers your blood pressure.

3. The diet most people eat has been found to be very acidic. A highly acidic diet can result in reduced resistance to stress and contribute to other health problems. Fortunately, your diet is something you can control if you have the discipline to do so. Improving your diet to make it healthier can build on your ability to resist anxiety attacks. You will find that your mental well-being will improve along with your physical well-being.

If your body is in balance, it can better avoid anxiety, hyperacidity can exacerbate your problem. Removing acidic foods from your diet will put your body in a healthier state. It may not be easy at first, especially when you are used to eating almost anything, whether it is good for you or not.

In addition, it will be more difficult for your body to eliminate toxins when you eat a highly acidic diet. Even overeating can play a role in how your mind and body reacts to situations that may cause you anxiety. Living on a healthy diet will create a buffer zone that will protect you and reduce stress in your life.

Foods that are acidic that you want to eliminate or limit are sugar, salt, and processed foods. Even dairy, protein and grains are acidic to our system. These are examples of food sources that can negatively affect your system and reduce its resistance. If you want to improve your body's resistance to stress, eat more vegetables and fruits.

There is an optimal balance that you should maintain, and that would be about 80 percent alkaline. To achieve this, you would have to consume more vegetables either raw or cooked and more fruit products. Unless you're exercising heavily, you don't need as much protein as you think, so a little lean meat daily is fine.

Of course, the above are just three of the many things you can do yourself to prevent anxiety attacks. Do your research and try for yourself what you can do to have a happier and healthier life.
