INGREDIENTS
- Gram dal one cup
- Three cups of rice
- Salt to taste
- Red Chili Powder one tablespoon
- Yogurt (beat) one cup
- Turmeric powder one teaspoon
- Ginger, Garlic Paste two tablespoons
- Onion (cut into slices) 4 pcs
- Coriander, Mint cup
- Four green chillies
- Two tablespoons of hot spice powder
- Three tablespoons of lemon juice
- One cup of oil
- milk cup
- A bit of hot spice
Method
Soak gram dal in water for half an hour and boil it so that the grains remain separate, after that take out the dal in an open dish. Add salt and red chili powder to the curd and beat it. Fry the onion in hot oil until golden brown and take out some onion for garnishing. Leave the rest of the onion in the oil and add the dal and fry for 2-3 minutes. Add ginger and garlic paste and when it starts to fry, add turmeric powder, curd, 2 green chillies and a little bit of coriander, coriander leaves and cook for 5 minutes.
Add hot spices and salt to the rice and boil it for a while. Put a little oil in a pot and add 3 parts of rice and add a layer of dal. Add the remaining two chopped green chillies and lastly add the milk and let it simmer. (The taste is even better if the dal is dissolved in milk).
