The first phase of the sirtfood diet

The first phase of the sirtfood diet lasts for 7 days, which is divided into two time spans, namely the initial 3 days and the final 4 days.

In the initial phase of the sirtfood diet, your maximum daily calorie intake is 1,000 calories. This calorie intake can be met by drinking 3 glasses of green juice and eating a processed menu of sirtfoods once a day.

From the fourth to the seventh day, the daily calorie intake can be increased to 1,500 calories, which is obtained by drinking 2 glasses of green juice and eating a processed menu of sirtfoods 2 times a day.

Calorie intake restrictions in the first phase of the sirtfood diet are claimed to be able to lose weight quickly. In fact, you can lose as much as 3.2 kg of weight during this phase if executed appropriately.


The second phase of the sirtfood diet

The second phase of the sirtfood diet is the phase when you lose weight consistently.

Unlike the first phase, in the second phase your caloric intake is not specifically limited. However, you still have to consume a diet menu processed from sirtfoods 3 times and drink a glass of green juice every day.

If you still want to lose weight after finishing a sirtfood diet for 3 weeks, you need to go through this diet process from the first phase.

Recommended Foods in the Sirtfood Diet

There are 20 types of foods with polyphenol content that are highly recommended to be consumed during the sirtfood diet, including:

  • Vegetable, including kale leaves, chicory, parsley, and arugula
  • Fruits, including strawberries, blueberries, and medjool dates
  • Soybeans and walnuts
  • Onions and garlic
  • Chili
  • Olive oil
  • Buckwheat noodles made from buckwheat
  • Turmeric
  • Capers

Not only that, several other types of foods and drinks, such as dark chocolate, red wine, coffee, and matcha, are also included in sirtfoods that can be consumed during dieting.

During this diet program, you also need to consume green juice made from several types of sirtfoods and other healthy food ingredients, namely:

  • 75 grams of kale leaves
  • 30 grams of arugula
  • 5 grams of parsley
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 1/2 ginger finger segment
  • 1/2 green apple

You can grind all the above ingredients with a blender. After everything is mixed, add half a teaspoon of matcha powder and lemon juice to the green juice.


Things to Note before Going on a Sirtfood Diet

Although it can lose weight quickly and involves the consumption of foods that are beneficial for body health, you should still do the sirtfood diet under the supervision of a doctor.

Because in some people, very strict calorie intake restrictions in the first phase of the sirtfood diet can cause side effects in the form of headaches, dizziness, nausea, and weakness.

A limited choice of food types can also cause you to lack nutrients, such as protein and some types of vitamins and minerals that the body so desperately needs.

Not only that, the final results of weight loss obtained through the sirtfood diet are considered not much different significantly compared to various other types of healthy diets.

It should be noted, the sirtfood diet is also not recommended for diabetics. This is because calorie restriction and regular consumption of juices during the sirtfood diet process can cause spikes in blood sugar levels in the body.
