The 2,652-square-foot property was designed in 1954 by architect Beverley D. Thorne, who sought to accentuate the beauty of the home’s natural surroundings. The four-bedroom, four-bath home features panoramic views of the bay and was built around a rock outcrop that projects through the center of the house into the original music room.

The Dave Brubeck Quartet composed hits “Take Five” and “Blue Rondo à la Turk” in the music room of the home. And TV show host Ed Sullivan was so impressed with the design of the home that he broadcast the quartet performing there on an episode of his show.

Emma Morris with Red Oak Realty is the listing agent.
