OAKLAND – A person was shot and killed Friday night near Lake Temescal in Oakland, police said.
The shooting happened just before 7:45 p.m. in the 6500 block of Broadway, the Oakland Police Department said in a statement. Officers arrived to find a person suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is underway into the circumstances surrounding the death, police said.
