Bangkok is a big place with a ton of activities. That said, it is also extremely chaotic. Despite the fact that walking around Bangkok is the best way to see the city, here are a few tours that you should take to fully enjoy your trip.

• Jek Pui: If you’re craving a tasty curry, stop by Jek Pui in Chinatown for a reasonably priced and delectable meal.

How to get there: You can choose to take the Skytrain (BTS) to Mo Chit station, where you can exit at exit number 1 and walk until you see a line of canvas stalls selling clothing.

As an alternative, you can take the subway (MRT) to Chatuchak Park station and exit at exit number 1 to get to the market’s tiny entrance.

Rooftop Bar

Even though I don’t live in a city, seeing the skyline at night is one of my favorite things to do there. When we traveled, we did this in Chicago, New York, and even Manila.

There is no better way to appreciate a city than to visit a rooftop bar and take in the sights and sounds. The Vertigo and Moon bar at the Banyan Tree Hotel is our favorite in Bangkok. They have the most breathtaking view and serve amazing cocktails. Trust us, you must come here!

Even though the majority of these bars are found within hotels, if you plan to order food or drinks, you can easily reserve a table. The views are completely worth it, even though the prices are typically much higher.

We advise either making a reservation in advance or booking a few of these tours: Baiyoke Tower’s Crystal Dinner Buffet and Observation Deck, or just tickets to the Observation Deck and Revolving Viewpoint.

Visit the renowned shopping centers in Bangkok

Check out some of Bangkok’s well-known shopping destinations, such as Pratunam, Siam Square, Siam Paragon, Central World, and MBK, if you can’t stand the heat but still want to shop. These locations are fantastic because they are frequently a one-stop-shop with everything from clothes to electronics to footwear and more. They are known for their bargain shopping.

Visit the magnificent Temples

There are numerous beautiful temples in Bangkok that are not to be missed. If you’re a big fan of the temple, come here. Don’t overlook the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, which are both within the same complex, if you only want to see the highlights.

You can admire their elaborate architecture and craftsmanship here. Last but not least, make sure to stop by Wat Arun, also referred to as the Temple of the Rising Sun.

Please be aware that you must wear appropriate clothing when visiting the temples. Sleeveless tops and shorts are not permitted. Additionally, you must always keep your knees and shoulders covered (even for men). Make sure to keep in mind that flip-flops and sandals without back straps aren’t really permitted either.

If you bring the appropriate clothing with you when visiting these places, it will save you a lot of time. Otherwise, you can rent sarongs to cover up at stands outside.

Watch out for grand temple scams

Make sure you only purchase tickets from the official ticket window and ignore any claims that the Grand Temple area is closed because there are a few well-known travel scams in the area. Simply put, they’re upselling you a private tour.

Observing people on Khao San Road

Khao San Road, also known as the backpacker district, is a fascinating area filled with people, food stalls, bars, and hostels. Sit in one of the many street bars and take in Bangkok’s bustle while observing daily life.

Khao San Road is a great place to meet other travelers if you’re traveling alone. Be aware it is very crowded. Since the hostels can be quite noisy, we wouldn’t advise staying there, but do yourself a favor and visit at least once.

Soi Rambuttri, which is a bit quieter but still has a similar vibe without being excessively chaotic, is a good option.

Make a trip to the Buddha

Visit Wat Pho where you can explore the enormous compound and see the famous reclining and gold Buddha. The original Thai massage was developed here as well. An iconic structure in Bangkok, Wat Pho is located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.

It is also referred to as Wat Pho, Wat Phra Chetun, and the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. It is conveniently situated close to the Grand Temple for visitors who are in the area for sightseeing.

Spectacular Floating Markets

The locations of Thailand’s floating markets, Tailing Chan and Khlong Lat Mayom, are not too far from the city. Unlike larger markets like Damnoen Saduak, which are much farther away, Tailing Chan is only 12 km from the heart of Bangkok, making it a great place to visit.

Take a short longtail boat ride to see the sights while you observe how the locals trade, sell, and haggle over various goods. There is a ton of food available for purchase, but the markets can also get very busy, so it is best to go early in the day. The specific tour mentioned above is a fantastic way to see all the sights in a single day.

We advise staying away from a tour group since these locations are easily reached by public transportation.
