The Sole F65 has a more powerful motor (3.25 CHP vs 3.0 CHP) and a wider running deck (22” x 60” vs 20” x 60”) that makes it a better choice for more experienced runners and larger trainees who need more space on the running deck. The max user weight on the Sole F65 is also 25lbs heavier compared to the Sole F63 (350lb vs 325lb).

The screen on the Sole F65 is 2.5” inches larger than the Sole F63’s screen (9” LCD vs 6.5” LCD) and the F65 has one-touch speed and incline controls on the safety arms, unlike the F63.

These slight but meaningful improvements come at a cost of an additional $500, with the Sole F63 retailing for $999 and the Sole F65 costing $1,499.

Finally, for home gyms that need every last inch of space for a treadmill, the footprint of the F63 is slightly narrower and shorter lengthwise compared to the F65 (35” x 77” vs 38” x 82.5”).

The Sole F63 treadmill performs at a similar level to the high-quality treadmills found in my local gym, which are typically much more expensive.

In fact, its 3.0 CHP motor is on par with or even stronger than the motors in considerably pricier treadmills such as the NordicTrack 1250 ($1,999), ProForm Carbon T10 ($1,599), or the Echelon Stride-5s Smart Treadmill ($1,999).

In fact, in almost every category, the Sole F63 out-performs all the treadmills in its class. Here is a look at how the F63 fares against the two runner-ups in the treadmills-for-$1,000 category:

Not bad!

The power incline can be adjusted up to 15-degrees for cranking up the sweat and difficulty during your workouts, and the F63 can be folded neatly with the help of a hydraulic rod underneath the deck, halving the footprint when not in use and also acting as a safety feature, reducing the likelihood of kids or pets playing on the treadmill when not in use.

Bluetooth speakers can be paired with your phone to blast your favorite tunes or podcast, and the decently sized running deck of 20” x 60” will accommodate a majority of users.

The console and tray underneath the console are perfect for holding a water bottle, towel, smartphone, post-workout protein shake, and much more.

This strategic placement allows you to conveniently view the workout metrics without relocating your tablet. It’s one of those small yet significant details that can make a workout more enjoyable.

One notable feature of the F63 treadmill I really like is the dedicated tablet/smartphone tray positioned on top of the console.

Ultimately, the Sole F63 is one of the best overall treadmills on the market when you consider the affordable price, studio-grade performance, and the 3.0 CHP motor that purrs like a kitten, no matter how fast or how inclined your treadmill workouts.

Sole F65 Treadmill – Overview

The Sole F65 is the second most affordable treadmill in Sole’s line-up of treadmills built for residential settings. And it’s also my top pick for the best treadmill for home gyms under $1,500.

The F63 has a smooth and powerful 3.25 CHP motor that handles speeds up to 12mph and moves the deck up in one-degree segments to a maximum of 15-degrees of incline.

Changing speeds and incline is easy with the F63; one of the things I really like about this treadmill compared to the F63 is that it has one-touch controls on the safety arms for speed/incline adjustments.

The 3.25 CHP motor makes the Sole F65 stand out not only against its little bro, but against its competitors in the $1,500 price range. The closest treadmill that compares to the Sole F65 is the Horizon 7.4 AT.

Here is a look at how the Sole F65 dominates against comparably-priced treadmills:

The Sole F65 is a better option for people who like the Sole F63 but want more room on the running deck (it’s 2” wider) and a larger LCD screen for checking in on workout stats like time elapsed, distance, heart rate, and so on.

The Sole F65 Treadmill also has a higher weight capacity despite the machine being the same weight as the F63. And like its little sibling, the Sole F65 folds easily between workouts to increase usable floor space at home.

As is the case with all of Sole treadmills except for one—the Sole ST90 is the black sheep in the Sole family when it comes to warranty at just five years of coverage on the frame and motor—Sole backs the F63 with a lifetime warranty on the frame and motor.
