Another week, no change

I weighed myself tonight and I am still weighing in at 238.

I'm not discouraged, I realise now that I need to make a greater change to my diet. I'm still eating too many fatty foods such as potato chips and chocolate cake.

I'm going to try and ween myself off of these foods now over the next few weeks.

You may be thinking "It shouldn't take a couple of weeks to stop eating fatty foods!" but keep in mind that I have never lived a healthy lifestyle, and all I've ever eaten was fatty foods. Asking me to stop eating junk food cold turkey would be like asking a smoker of 22 years to quit cold turkey.

So that is the only solution, to keep going to the gym, and to stop eating junk food. Sounds kinda simple, doesn't it?

On an another note, I came across this website today.

Steve Vaught is a 39 year old, ex-marine who was living an un-healthy lifestyle and weighed in at over 400 pounds. So what did he decide to do? Walk across his country (United States) of course!

He left his home in San Diego on April 10, 2005 and won't stop till he gets to NYC. He currelnty only has under 700 miles to go!

Good luck Steve! You have been an inspiration to me.
