Aurelius Healthcare Officially Launches Aurelius Hospital Nilai

Aurelius Healthcare officially launched Aurelius Hospital Nilai (AHN), the group’s first hospital that was acquired in August 2021. Previously known as Nilai Medical Centre, the 100-bed multidisciplinary medical facility is the only hospital in Nilai, the only oncology institute in Negeri Sembilan, and serves communities in surrounding areas including Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, and Melaka.

Officiating the event, YB Dato’ Dr. Haji Noor Azmi bin Ghazali, Deputy Minister of Health 1, said “Aurelius Hospital Nilai’s growth in the past year has been impressive and I would like to congratulate them on their achievements. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed and are very much in line with the Ministry of Health’s vision to ensure sustainable, responsive, and affordable health services across our nation. From the success that I have seen to date, I have no doubt that this upward trajectory will continue to provide the highest level of healthcare to members of this community.”

Over the past year, AHN has been fully transformed for oncology care, cardiology, women and children’s care, orthopaedics, and all other clinical specialties of a tertiary hospital for patients at every stage of their life. Since its acquisition, the hospital has added several new services, including neurosurgery, neurology, and vitreo-retinal surgery, and this is in line with AHN’s growth in the healthcare sector.

Conveniently located less than 20km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA 2), AHN offers an easy and convenient experience not just for locals, but also for international patrons from countries such as China, Indonesia, Indochina, and Korea who are seeking first-class medical treatment options in Malaysia.

The hospital recently had a facelift in March 2022 as part of its ongoing efforts to provide an enhanced guest experience for patients and visitors. This includes a refreshed lobby space to welcome guests, a calming zen garden area to encourage restorative recuperation, and an updated facade to modernise the overall aesthetic of the hospital. AHN has also upgraded its wards, ensuring the utmost comfort, efficiency, and ease for inpatients during their hospital stay. Its two Signature Suites are the first Smart Wards in the country, boasting an impressive selection of features that can be controlled at the touch of a button.

Over the past few months, the hospital has increased its retail and F&B facilities to provide an array of options for patients, visitors, and staff alike. These include a Hot & Roll kiosk and the first O’Briens Irish Sandwich Café in Negeri Sembilan as part of their culinary selections, as well as a Vital Eyecare and Aurelius MedCare pharmacy. These are just some of the highlights that AHN has seen in the past year, reiterating the Aurelius Healthcare group’s commitment to providing a holistic and modern private healthcare experience that will better serve the communities in the region.

Dr. Darshini Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Aurelius Hospital Nilai, said “Here at AHN, we have top-of-the-range equipment helmed by experienced medical professionals who will deliver the best service and care to our patients. Our comprehensive enhanced facilities are thoughtfully designed to give our patients and visitors peace of mind, so they can focus on the most important priority – their health.”

By the end of this year, Aurelius Hospital Nilai will see further growth, expanding from 100 to 150 beds and adding a medical office block – this project is aimed for completion by 2024. On the horizon, the Aurelius Healthcare group continues its positive momentum with its second venture, Aurelius Hospital Alor Setar. This is currently under construction and aims to be operational by 2023, catering to the city’s growing population and beyond, namely communities in Alor Setar, Langkawi, Sungai Petani, and Kulim. The multidisciplinary hospital will have a 200-bed capacity, making it the largest private medical facility in Kedah. We also have a wide range of doctors in specific specialisations, who understand the needs of every patient according to the treatment needed.

Dato’ Amir Firdaus Abdullah, Group Managing Director and Chairman of Aurelius Healthcare, said “We are incredibly proud of Aurelius Hospital Nilai’s success in the past year. Across the board, we have seen the team completely transform the way we provide healthcare to our valued members of the community. With our imminent plans for expansion, we are continuously improving our facilities and services, as well as attracting the best healthcare talent and medical experts. This will ensure that we build a network of comprehensive services and make quality healthcare accessible to all our fellow Malaysians. As we look towards the future, our commitment remains the same – to provide the highest level of service and care to our patients, physicians, employees, and other partners in the community.”
