7 Mindsets of Highly Successful (And Happy) People

Change your way of thinking, change your life. It sounds easy, but many of us tell ourselves that it's too late to change careers or that we don't have enough time to learn new things.

Living in these restrictive beliefs produces a self-fulfilling prophecy: we think we can’t, so we don’t. On the contrary, if we live in a "I can" and "I will" way, imagine what we can achieve!

7 Mindsets of Highly Successful (And Happy) People

I believe that our thoughts have incredible power in our daily lives, and our emotions and behaviors reflect the way we think. Over the years, I have developed 7 techniques to ensure that I am always in the right state of mind for success and happiness. The first is to imagine the possibilities instead of focusing on obstacles.

Anyone can change their thinking and learn to ask "Can you imagine?" also. Here are 7 mindsets of very successful (and happy) people.

1.Ditch the Fixed Mindset and Go For Growth

Suppose you feel that you are not making progress at work. The fixed mindset thinks that this is the case, and no matter what you do, it will not change. The growth mindset says that you can create change by working hard, adapting to feedback, and implementing a personal development strategy. It goes without saying what kind of people work harder in their careers.

It all boils down to the difference between limiting beliefs and enhancing beliefs. If you think that its growth is limited indefinitely to its current state, it is unlikely to develop. But if you begin to believe that you have the ability to achieve greatness, you will find that everything in your life will follow your example.

2.Adopt An Abundance Mentality, Not Scarcity Mentality

After working at 1-800-GOT-JUNK for about 6 years, my main employee resigned. This will not be the end of the world...except that he is leaving to start a competitive garbage disposal business. At first, he was frustrated, but later he wanted to take revenge. I am addicted to closing his company, which is not good for my own company.

Now I know that I have fallen into a scarcity mentality-I think only one of us has enough success. Since then, I have learned that this kind of thinking creates a culture of paranoia, where everyone lives in fear. Now, our company is thriving with a rich mindset-we believe that even in our competition, when we share ideas, everyone will benefit. By recognizing that everyone has enough success, we have freed ourselves from limitations.

3.Stop Fearing Failure

The number one reason entrepreneurs are unsuccessful is because they are afraid of failure; this fear even prevents them from doing something from the beginning.

The truth is that no one has ever fallen to the top of a mountain; unless you take the first step, you cannot reach the top. We believe in the WTF (Willing to Fail) philosophy, because the only way to grow is to make mistakes. The risks are terrible, but stagnation is worse, and the more you think you will fail, the more likely you are to fail. Remember: if you do not make progress, you will fail anyway, so you'd better seize the opportunity.

4.Create a Long-Term Vision Instead of Only Short-Term Goals

If you don’t know where you are going, you cannot reach your destination. This is also true if you are climbing the corporate ladder, changing jobs, or starting a new business. Before formulating a strategy and setting short-term goals, you must first develop a successful long-term vision.

I have always cared more about where our company is going, rather than how we will get there. I’m a visionary entrepreneur, so for me, it’s not about blindly placing one foot in front of the other, but about shooting for the moon, and then working backwards to bring our vision to safety. Back to earth. We call our vision a picture of a picture—a clear snapshot of the look, feel, and performance of our business once every five years. This is a way to keep everyone consistent and motivated to succeed as a team.

5. Don’t Be Afraid to Break the Rules

When I grew up, I was a bit rebellious. But no matter what my parents and teachers told me, it didn't stop me. If anything, my affinity for creating problems has made me a better entrepreneur.

Risk-averse people who stay in their comfort zone rarely lead. It is the people who act fast, break the rules, and break the rules that change the world. Success is about guts, guts, and courage, so if you want to make progress in your career, you'd better paint outside the boundaries.

6.Listen to Your Gut

We all think too much from time to time, which is great, but if you guess every decision you make, you will never be able to accomplish anything. Overthinking can also lead to contemplation, which is the destructive and potentially career-damaging process of living in the past.

After working in this industry for 28 years, I learned how important it is to make quick (and difficult) decisions, and to be successful requires avoiding futile hesitation. Stop letting your lizard brain control your thoughts and actions; instead, control and start acting according to instinct. In most cases, your intuition will guide you in the right direction.

7.Let Positivity Flow Into Everything You Do

If only one thing in your mind will change, it should be it. It is scientifically proven that optimists are happier and more successful than pessimists (as long as they are realistic about their goals and results). As a perpetual optimist, I always try to see the good side in any situation. If we are inadequate in certain aspects of our business, I don’t think this is imminent doom, I know this is just a temporary obstacle that we must overcome.

The best part is that positivity breeds positivity; when you adopt a half-cup and half-full attitude, it starts to guide everything you do. The truth is that success does not automatically bring happiness, but a positive attitude will allow success into your life. Just make some simple adjustments to your thoughts and you can become the happiest and most fulfilled self.
