1. Potato Water

Potato soaked in water makes a potassium-rich drink, and it can help you feel less tired and sluggish when taken. It helps replenish minerals many individuals have trouble getting enough of.

Like magnesium, the body does not produce potassium, we have to produce it from outside sources. Most diets nowadays tend to lean towards being nutrient deficient, it’s no wonder our bodies don’t get enough potassium.

Potassium serves as an electrolyte in the system, i.e.  It is vital for the proper functioning of the cells and the release of energy and conduction of electricity. Without enough potassium in the body, the muscles wouldn’t move properly and the nerve impulses won’t fire right.

Slice up an unpeeled potato, add to a glass of water. Allow it to soak overnight in the fridge, and drink first thing in the morning when you wake up.

2. Get to bed early

Lack of sleep has been attributed to be one of the leading causes of daytime fatigue. Studies have shown that Good sleep habits can have important health benefits.

Individuals suffering from cvid Fatigue are encouraged to take a brief afternoon nap. Napping restores wakefulness and enhances performance and learning.

A 15-30 minute nap is usually enough to boost energy. Don’t nap longer than an hour, though, or you may have found it difficult sleeping that night. A short nap followed by a cup of coffee may offer an even bigger energy boost.

3. Nettle Leaf Tea

Iron is vital. Without it, our system cannot produce enough red blood cells. Red blood cells contain hemoglobin, which is the iron-rich protein that carries oxygen all over our bodies.

People usually think of oxygen’s use ends when it enters our lungs, not knowing it have to travel throughout our bodies and get delivered to all of our cells and organs for them to function.

Lack of oxygen would lead to a reduction in the body’s functioning, which will result in fatigue. This is known as iron-deficiency anemia.

To battle this, make a tea with nettle leaf (fresh is desired but dry works as well.) Nettle is rich in iron, as well as vitamin C.

The latter part is important because vitamin C has been shown to help increase the absorption of non-heme iron (iron gotten in plants) which isn’t always absorbed as easily as heme iron (iron gotten in fish, meat, etc.). Add in some dandelion to boost the iron content of the tea or coffee.

In preparing this you will need:

  • a cup or two of fresh dandelion & nettle, Or 2 teaspoons each of dried dandelion and nettle,
  • a cup of freshly boiled water and Honey if desired
  • boil your water, place your herbs in a mug, Pour the boiled water over them and cover,
  • soak for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the herbs,
  • put plenty of honey to taste, and drink twice daily.

Exercise has consistently been linked to improved vigor and overall quality of life, People who exercise have a greater sense of self-confidence and exercise also increases the working efficiency of your heart, lungs, and muscles.

5. Spinach

Spinach is rich in iron, it can help increase the blood cell count, therefore providing you with more energy and helping fend anemia.

It also contains a lot of magnesium, a cup of spinach contains 39% of the approved daily intake for magnesium. Early studies have shown that it may even improve muscle function during a workout.

6. Licorice root

Licorice herb contains glycyrrhizin. This can actually help with fatigue. Especially fatigue that is connected with less than optimal adrenal working. It can help regulate cortisol.

In preparing a licorice tea or drink, you will need a tablespoon of dried licorice root, a cup of water, and Honey/lemon to test.

Soak a tablespoon of dried licorice root in boiling water, covered, for 10 minutes. Strain, put honey/lemon to taste, and drink when you wake up in the morning.

Fatigue can be a tricky thing because a person has to not only figure out the cause but also be committed to overcoming it. This is, of course, made all the more challenging by the fact that you’ve worn out all the time.
