Find Out What Your Date of Birth Says About Your Health Risks

It is actually a common belief that one’s date of birth can determine one’s personality. And we have seen astrologers and numerologists use one’s birthday to predict and forecast things about the person that is actually true or come to pass as predicted.

Note:

This post is not intended to make you scared that you are going to suffer from a particular illness or the other, but to hint you on the likeliest medical conditions you might suffer so that you can be prepared with the right information, avoid risk factors and to possibly detect it on time if it eventually affects you.

The day you came into this world can predict your chances of developing illnesses like asthma or heart disease.

That is the conclusion of the team of scientists who carried a study to determine if the risk in the life of a person of suffering disease is related to their date of birth. The bad news about this type of study is that there is no scientific evidence to support it.

Seasonality is an indicator of variable environmental factors that may be present at birth, and we are learning more and more about the important role that the environment, and the interaction with the genes, affect our development.

It sounds logical that the environment in which a mother was exposed to when she was pregnant could compromise or modify her immune system.

Results Of The Researched Study

The researchers used electronic health data from Columbia University Medical Center in New York, which included over 1.7 million individuals born between the years 1900 and 2000.

They retrieve and analyzed the individuals’ data, especially their date of birth (birth month), as well as the list of medical conditions which they were diagnosed in their life.

They found that 55 diseases were significantly related to the month of birth.

If you were born between the months of January through March, you may have a higher risk of cardiovascular diseases and a lower risk of neurological, respiratory, and reproductive conditions.

If you were born between October through December, you are more likely to have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease, but a higher risk of neurological, respiratory, and reproductive conditions.

Babies born from September to November were at increased risk of developing the widest variety of diseases.

The study further showed that babies born in the fall are more likely to develop ADHD, viral infections, and respiratory illnesses like asthma.

On the other hand, babies born in winter from January to March are much more likely to develop heart disease than babies born in other months.

If your birthday falls somewhere between May and August, be sure to toast to your good health; because your month of birth does not correlate with an increased risk for any disease.
