Soothe’s Skincare & Beauty Services Demand Grows

Leadership team expands to further propel the brand

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (August 19, 2022) – Soothe, the world’s leading wellness and personal care platform, sees unprecedented growth as COVID-19 restrictions ease around the world. Year-to-date Soothe’s skincare and beauty business is up 98%. Haircuts and styling lead the growth with a whopping 365% increase YoY; and in the first half of this year, Soothe’s facials services have seen a 19% increase in sales.

To accelerate its mission to be the number on-demand spa services on-demand marketplace by 2025, Soothe expands its leadership team with the addition of Rachel Szabo as General Manager of Skincare and Beauty Services; Evan Conroy as Vice President of Operations; and promotes Alon Rivel, who joined the company in November 2021, to Vice President of Marketing. All three executives report directly to Soothe’s CEO, John Ellis.

Szabo brings over 15 years of experience in growth-focused leadership including brand strategy, operational optimization, product leadership and people management. In her new role, her mission is to build a best-in-class, inclusive, and sustainable skincare and beauty business as an extension of Soothe’s wellness brand. 

Szabo co-founded BTS (Behind-The-Scenes) Group, a brand strategy, design, e-commerce and consumer products agency. She performed as the interim GM/COO following the co-development of the cosmetic brand with Bella Thorne, Thorne By Bella, for which she received the Top 50 Fashion and Beauty Leaders Award in 2020. Szabo was also the Head of Consumer Products and E-Commerce at Fullscreen Media (acquired by Otter Media, a subsidiary of AT&T’s WarnerMedia), where she oversaw the merchandising, licensing, and consumer product design for Fullscreen’s portfolio of digital influencers and celebrities, with both live touring and digital integrations.

As Vice President of Operations, Conroy will draw on his experience to oversee Soothe’s network, customer service operations, and international leads. Leveraging his 13 years of experience in contractor management, customer support, and operations he will drive efficiencies within Soothe’s operations.

Conroy was a founding member at Bird, where he built his own team while leading established teams within the company. During his tenure, he led employees in market operations, customer support, contractor operations, contractor onboarding, and consumer products. Most recently, Conroy ran operations at Winc where he oversaw the day-to-day management of warehouse operations as well as customer and wholesale order operations.

As Vice President of Marketing at Soothe, Alon Rivel oversees all aspects of the company’s marketing efforts — defining go-to-market strategy, executing and managing integrated marketing plans, and driving brand awareness plus demand aligned with Soothe’s growth targets. He is a marketing and advertising media professional with over 12 years of experience. Rivel joined Soothe less than a year ago as Director of Acquisition Marketing and soon after became the Director of Growth Marketing where he led the revenue growth and full lifecycle marketing strategy of Soothe’s consumer and provider products.

Prior to joining Soothe, Rivel was the Director of Marketing at Outcomes4Me where he oversaw all aspects of Outcomes4Me’s marketing, brand communications, and user growth targets. He has held prior roles at The New York Times, Lose It!, and Bloomberg. While at Online Buddies, Rivel was named one of 2019’s innovative leaders in GDI’s 2019 Power Book.
