Are we bold? Do we feel powerful? Do we feel helpless?
Want more self-esteem? Want to feel more powerful?
What “locks-in” our lives the way we are?
The way we perceive others does!
Change our opinion of other people, and these things all change!
Our Viewpoint of others is the one thing that can change our feelings!
It’s also what sets our feelings!
See others differently, and change happens!
For every troubled person, that’s all that’s wrong! That’s all that’s different about them!
EXAMPLES
One traumatic event can change us forever!
That’s because it changes the way we see other people!
We no longer expect love and support! We might be expecting criticism, or even violence instead!
Therapy helps people recover! Why? Because they share their hurts, and reduce their fear.
Their viewpoint has been altered! They can once again trust others a little more than they could before!
WHY DO SO MANY OF US FEEL HELPLESS?
The power of life comes from inside!
All life needs and expects support in developing their skills!
All life gets support!
Except for people!
We have forgotten this need.
We see our young the same as we see computers!
We think they need to be told how to live and what to believe.
This must have started a long time ago! It’s an ever-growing trend!
Unfortunately, our behavior conflicts with our children’s needs.
Our infants are born with the power to live out loud!
That power comes from within!
How are they going to view us when we tell them to stop everything and obey us?
With trust?
Of course not! They see us through their fear!
And there it is!
The reason we all suffer helplessness and low self-esteem!
We see others not as support, but as threats to our ability to cope!
DEFIANCE!
Along the way, we have invented defiance!
Defiance has led us to conflict and isolation!
That’s us now! That’s all of us!
We have invented war by ignoring our children’s needs!
PROOF?
Children allowed the most support and freedom are always the strongest and most loving.
They cooperate voluntarily, have instinctive morals, and are compassionate, and playful!
Children brought up with the most discipline are always troubled! They can be infinitely cruel! They believe in control, and they cause neverending misery!
We are all well aware of this situation. We have seen it all around us for our entire lives.
It conflicts with our accepted beliefs though!
To see this truth in this environment is to stand alone against just about everybody!
We each must decide whether to stand alone or to carry on doing the wrong and destructive thing!
OUR OWN JOURNEY!
Each of us is in a different place in life!
Our place is set by our own beliefs in other people!
If we are unhappy with our place, it can only be changed through changing our viewpoint.
To feel more self-esteem and power, seeing others in a better light is always necessary! That’s what makes the difference!
If we can manage to see others as self-driven, with a perfect right to be that way, we will have come a long way back to how we began life!
We had our own full power then, and we were happy!
Now, that’s a goal worth pursuing!
