Can a woman conceive with a frozen pelvis?

A Frozen Pelvis is a condition in which the adhesions bind the pelvic organs together, causing them to “freeze” in place. Operating on a frozen pelvis is extremely difficult due to the deformed anatomy, which increases the risk of complications. A frozen pelvis is one of the complications of deeply infiltrative endometriosis.

In the frozen pelvis, adhesions in the uterus can hinder eggs from migrating or implanting. They can also block off the ovaries’ blood supply or trap blood in the ovaries, causing cysts and infertility.

As per the doctors of Kiran Infertility Centre – Bengaluru, a woman with a frozen pelvis can become pregnant or conceive when a surgery is performed to help restore the health of the reproductive organs and return the pelvic cavity to proper functionality. Another option is IVF which may be an ideal treatment if the main problem is endometrial cells around the fallopian tubes. IF ivf is not possible then Altruistic Surrogacy maybe an option
