The Medicines Patent Pool (MPP) has said that 35 generic drugmakers will make the cheaper versions of Pfizer’s Paxlovid Pills and supply them to 95 low- and middle-income countries. Paxlovid, a combination of nirmatrelvir and ritonavir, has been found 90% effective at reducing COVID hospitalization.
