Texas introduced anti-Abortion Law that came into effect on September 1, 2021. However, a Texan physician, Dr. Alan Braid, said that he performed an abortion on September 6, calling it a “duty of care.” Dr. Brain could be sued for breaking the new law, but got support from an abortion-rights advocacy group.
