Biohacking: The Easiest Method to Control Your Biology in 2021

What would you do if it was possible to increase your energy, make yourself more productive, less likely to procrastinate and more able to concentrate at the drop of a hat?

It may sound like something from a sci-fi movie that would only be possible in the future.

However, we have the technology and the knowledge today to take our biology into our own hands and hack our minds into being better versions of ourselves. This is known as biohacking.

By the end of this blog post, you will be able to reduce tiredness, increase mental performance and concentration whenever you want. Read on to learn more...

Introduction to biohacking

The field of biohacking can be a confusing one and can conjure up images of crazy scientists injecting themselves with untested substances.

Whilst, it's true, some people do this, there are much safer and tested ways to get the results that you want. But more about that later...

Firstly, it's important to discuss what exactly is biohacking?

What is biohacking?

Merriam-Webster list the biohacking definition as:

"biological experimentation (as by gene editing or the use of drugs or implants) done to improve the qualities or capabilities of living organisms especially by individuals and groups working outside a traditional medical or scientific research environment."

What does it actually mean to hack your body?

Essentially, it refers to applying scientific methods to the pursuit of improving your body or mind.

This could be making a small tweak in your lifestyle in order to be able to turn off your gag reflex, or it could mean formulating a solution and testing it on yourself in pursuit of invincibility (I know, it sounds bonkers but it actually happens).

Rick (here pictured as "Pickle Rick" from Adult Swim's Rick and Morty is perhaps the most popular biohacker in pop culture, that's to say if you can call turning yourself into a pickle to get out of family therapy biohacking.

Biohacking is commonly referred to as DIY biology, as you usually don't find scientists in Universities doing this, but instead, people set up labs in their garages, community centres and other meeting places and come together to explore this new field of science.

The easiest and safest method of biohacking

But I hear what you're thinking, making your own lab and experimenting with random substances that you heard about on Reddit doesn't sound too appealing, even with the promise of a better, healthier, happier or more productive life.

So, are there any methods that have been tried and tested, that have been shown as both effective and safe? The answer is yes (ish).

Unfortunately, biohacking is far from transforming humans into omnipotent, invincible God-like creatures, but solutions have been found for many of biohackers biggest concerns, such as significantly increasing productivity.

That's a code that we have cracked, and I'm about to tell you the easiest way that you can increase concentration, mental performance and reduce tiredness on demand.

More and more studies are coming out proving links between what we eat and our mental capacity. It has been shown that certain ingredients can significantly improve certain symptoms.

Do you suffer from brain fog? Then eat foods with lots of B-Vitamins and the antioxidant Alcar (produced in the kidneys from an amino acid called L-Carnitine).

Struggling with memory recall? Minerals such as zinc have been shown to improve memory formation.

Want to prevent ageing of the brain? Try getting some antioxidants such as epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), commonly found in Matcha Green Tea into your diet.

I know I said I'd make this easy, and so far, it isn't so easy. We are all too busy to keep a big list of things our brain needs to run optimally and to check the labels of every item in the supermarket to make sure we're getting enough of it.

The point is, biohacking nutrition is possible, if not a little bit tricky if you're not too sure where to start. The purpose of biohacking is to make your life easier, not more complicated.

So, what's the solution?

The solution

There are some companies that compile all the things that your brain needs to be run at its optimal level into one easy to handle capsule. Such a company is Edinburgh based Brainzyme®.

Often, tiredness and lack of energy is a big motivator for people to start biohacking.

Since launching in November 2016, they are now exporting to over 20 different countries and is being used from a wide range of people, from GCSE students to Olympic-Level Athletes, and has received an extremely warm reaction from both customers and the media.

They were the first company in the UK to be able to legally call their products 'cognitive enhancers' (according to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) and has been scientifically proven to increase concentration, mental performance and reduce tiredness.

Moreover, it's not one of those supplements that you have to take for months before you start to feel the benefits (I'm looking at you Omega 3), but has been specifically designed to work in under 1 hour, meaning that anyone can improve concentration, mental performance and reduce tiredness wherever they and whenever they want.

As everyone's brain is different, Brainzyme® designed a range of three different products, ensuring that whatever your need be, they have a solution for it.

If you're just looking for increased energy, you can probably get away with Brainzyme Focus Original. This is due to a higher content of caffeine and B-vitamins.

If you are feeling under pressure or stressed, Brainzyme Focus Pro may be the one for you. It contains L-Tyrosine, the precursor for dopamine, making you better able to deal with stress, be better at decision making and increased assertiveness.

For longer-term use, mood enhancement and general brain health then we recommend Brainzyme Focus Elite, which comes with a full multi-vitamin, prebiotic, natural nootropic and neuro support formula.

Brainzyme is also vegan, GMO-free, gluten-free, allergen-free and cruelty-free. This is so it's accessible to anybody and everyone who wanted to experience heightened productivity.

The only caveat that a biohacker trying Brainzyme should be aware of is that Brainzyme should be taken on an empty stomach - 45 minutes before or 90 minutes after food.

It’s also strongly recommended that anyone who uses Brainzyme increases their water intake, as its effects can slightly dehydrate the body.

Effects typically last for 4-6 hours, though reports indicate it can be longer.

Brainzyme can also be used consistently, with no risk of a tolerance forming. This lowers the need for biohackers to ‘cycle’ on and off the supplements, though it is recommended to take occasional days off.

And, an important thing to note is that Brainzyme doesn’t precipitate a ‘crash’ from its use, even over longer periods of time, and it doesn’t keep you from sleeping.

Brainzyme is something more than a standard caffeine tablet. A pure caffeine supplement often doesn’t cause the same kind of motivation and will to work effects as Brainzyme does, which may make it particularly interesting to a biohacker seeking a way to boost their productivity significantly.

Conclusion and summary of biohacking

Overall, Brainzyme has great potential as a new resource for biohackers looking for a new, natural way to boost their brainpower.

Brainzyme is a great way to keep your mind on the task and get through work or studies. It has very few side effects, aside from increased thirst, meaning biohackers who want a low-impact, high-return supplement would be well-served by Brainzyme.
