Today I will be review THEFACESHOP’s eye cream from their Mango seed collection. If you just want to know whether not I recommend it just go to final thoughts. I am personally pretty stingy so I’m pretty critical about whether or not the product was worth my money so unless it’s legitimately something that can cause the world’s stingiest person to buy it, I would not recommend the product.

What it claims
- Fast absorption
- Long-lasting moisture
- Improves skin elsticity
- Reduces signs of skin aging
- Makes eyes softer, smoother, more vibrant and younger looking
My impression
At first glance I fell in love with the nice warm yellow packaging. This is seriously how Korean cosmetic companies get me. When the packaging is amazing I don’t even care about anything else, I must have it. (The story of how I ended up buying two products from the MISSHA X Line collab)
The container has a little pump to pump out the product which I like since it decreases the chance of bacteria coming into contact with the cream. What I don’t like about it is that it keeps a bit of product exposed to the air so the next time you take a pump there’s going to be a bit of dried up product that has hardened. Plus the fact that it feels like after the pump stops dispensing there’s still going to be a lot of product wasted.
During the time I tried this product, my eyes were flaky and dry. The cream is very soft, thick and creamy and when I applied it, even though my Skin was dry it did not hurt or sting. The smell is great but on application is not so overpowering that that’s all you can smell. It claims to have long lasting moisture but even though I applied it more that twice a day to speed up the recovery process of my dry flaky eyelids it still required 4-5 days for my eyelids to recover. Before I had this I used Revital Q10 (Costs 2,99 Euros) and although that stung when applying onto my dry eyelids, it recovered them in 2-3 days.
When I apply the product my eyelids are a bit sticky and it stays sticky and a bit greasy, so I can’t 100% agree that the product is fast absorption. The product does make my skin instantly softer but I can’t say that it makes my skin look more vibrant. The skin around my eye area is darker than the rest of my face and has remained looking dark. Unfortunately I do not have wrinkles so I can not tell you whether it really reduces signs of aging.
Summary
Pros
- Cream is soft so that even when applied on very dry skin, it does not sting
- Pump eliminates chances of bacteria getting into product
- Has a nice fragrance but isn’t overpowering
- Causes skin to become soft and smooth
Cons
- Takes 4-5 days to recover dry skin
- Is a bit sticky and greasy when applied to skin
- There’s always a bit of dried up product
- Expensive
Comparing what they claim and my experience:
Fast absorption- Long-lasting moisture
- Improves skin elsticity
- Reduces signs of skin aging (??)
- Makes eyes softer, smoother,
more vibrantand younger looking (??)
Final thoughts
Although there’s a lot of product, I personally find the price really steep given what it has to offer. I bought this to solve my flaky eyelid issue and even though it did solve it, it took longer than another brand that is significantly cheaper. That being said, this product’s advantage is that it does not sting or hurt on application. I would not re-buy the product as the price is just insane.
Stingy Sophia rates this 3/10
