3 Carrot Juice Benefits For Weight Loss

I’m a huge advocate of juicing for getting more fruits and veggies into your diet but for when it comes to weight loss, I think you have to be really careful. There are many benefits of juicing carrots for weight loss but you shouldn’t swap all of your meals for juices. You simply won’t get the calories and fats your body needs to function properly and you can end up doing more harm than good. Instead, try making some healthy swaps and enjoy fruit and vegetable juices as part of a balanced diet. That way you’ll lose weight the healthy way and you stand a better chance of keeping it off.

Now I’ve got that off my chest, let’s take a look at how carrot juice can help achieve healthy weight loss…

10. Low in calories

Did you know that carrots are very low in calories? A cup of raw carrot sticks only contains around 50 calories and will only make up a very small percentage of your daily intake. If you are looking to drink healthy vegetable juices to assist with weight loss, choosing carrots as a key ingredient is a wise decision to make.

11. Prevents obesity

Studies have linked vitamin A in carrots to reducing abdominal obesity. It’s also been revealed that obese people tend to have low levels of vitamin A, so by increasing your vitamin A intake, you stand a greater chance of maintaining a healthy body weight.

12. Reduces appetite

Carrots contain a small but significant amount of fiber, which is incredibly good for your gut health. Not only that but the fiber is also great for weight loss. Fiber-rich foods tend to be a little harder to digest. The longer they take to digest, the longer you feel full, preventing you from eating unnecessarily.

Is it better to drink carrot juice or eat carrots?

When it comes to carrots, there’s no right or wrong way to have them. As long as you’re including them in your diet, you’ll benefit from all the healthy vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants they contain.

If you’re not so keen on raw carrot juice, you can always try adding a few other ingredients. Carrot juice and ginger is quite a popular choice but if you prefer to hide the taste of your veggies, try adding some sweet fruits instead.

As well as getting the benefits of juicing carrots, you can eat them raw carrots as a healthy snack. Chop them into batons and try them with a homemade dip.

Prefer your carrots cooked? Add them into a homemade soup or roast them with a little honey for a tasty side dish. If you’re trying to be extra healthy, steamed carrots with salmon will make a lovely dinner.
