Health and wellness. Similarity and differences

Tags: health mental

Health is defined by the World Health Organization (1948) as a state of physical, mental and social well-being not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. In its holistic philosophy differs greatly from that of the acute care settings.

Physical health implies a mechanistic functioning of the body. Mental health means the ability to think clearly and coherently and has to do with your thinking and feeling and how you deal with your problem. A mentally healthy person has a capacity to live with other people, to understand their needs, and to achieve mutually satisfying relationships.
