 COVID Management

For the last year and half, the world has been united in fighting a war with an every changing and adapting enemy. The COVID-19 virus abruptly brought the whole world to a standstill. What had started off as a small lab virus that caused pneumonia and later became a respiratory disease pandemic which created great havoc and turmoil in a matter of days and changed the way the world operated.

COVID-19 basically is a type of SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) disease which was treated symptomatically until the virus started to adapt and change in respect to symptoms and the way it reacted to medications. There have been 3 different variations of the virus which have spread and have caused a lot of death as the world was genuinely unprepared for it.

Our Country, India, went through the first wave of the virus without much hue and cry as the whole country was declared to be locked down from March to May 2020. However, we were affected adversely by the second way of COVID-19 starting March 2021, partially due to the governmental administration issues, secondly due to public taking it lightly, and thirdly due to the twisted mindset of some money-minded people. With the record breaking deaths and the shortages of medical facilities and medicines in that period took everyone by surprise and lead to a much stronger and well distributed effort to vaccinate the population.

Now, we are in the frontlines of passing through another phase of COVID-19 pandemic surge that we are still unprepared for as we do not know what to expect and how the virus will adapt and modify itself.
