Webinar on Circular Economy – In Pursuit of Fully Recyclable Plastics with Dr. Jennifer Holmgren, CEO, Lanza Tech

Plastic pollution has become one of the biggest environmental concerns at present. As a whole, the world consumes one million Plastic drinking bottles every minute, while approximately five trillion single-use plastic bags are consumed every year. Currently, 300 million tons of plastic waste is produced every year.

Moreover, a large amount of plastic ends up in landfills or in oceans where it is prone to remain undecomposed for an extensive period of time, making the environment more vulnerable to degradation.

Circular economy for plastics offers the most viable solution to combat the plastic pollution around the world. However, lack of investments, awareness and a strict policy for combating plastic pollution has been inhibiting the evolution of the circular economy for plastics.

To examine the current state of plastic waste management across the globe and to evaluate the possible solutions to mitigate the global plastic waste crisis, BIS Research is conducting a webinar, ‘Circular Economy – In Pursuit of Fully Recyclable Plastics’ on Tuesday, 25th June 2019 at 11:30 AM – 12:00 PM CST, with guest speaker Dr. Jennifer Holmgren, CEO, Lanza Tech.
