Construction of a state of the art aged care residence, constructed over 5000sqm, incorporating over three hectares of landscaped grounds with an old English courtyard and European inspired water features, got a little closer recently with the first turning of soil at the Corina site.

Leading aged care provider PresCare, in conjunction with Catalyst Health REIT will officially begin construction of the upmarket development, providing valued housing for our older residents, in the new year.

The residence will provide high standard, consumer driven-care with residents expected to move in towards the end of April 2020.

Recently, Woollam Construction’s Craig Percival, Danny Hammon, George Bogiatzis and Catalyst Health REIT Justin Laboo joined with Prescare Chairman Chief Executive Officer Greg Skelton and Sonya Wilkinson to officially herald the project.

PresCare’s Chief Executive Officer Greg Skelton said the new residence would help raise the standard of residential care in South East Queensland with the residents benefiting from 4.5 star accommodation.

“It will have the highest quality finishing’s and an innovative design approach allowing some residents the opportunity to convert their rooms into larger suites,” Mr Skelton said. “The residence has been architecturally designed to provide as many residents as possible, access to a private balcony that will overlook the leafy suburb of Corinda.

“Our residents will have access to all the latest innovative technology and be part of a connected digital hub so they can stay connected with family and friends. A private hair salon, dining room, residents’ library and also a holistic wellness room for spa treatments and massages will create a community and resort-style feel to the complex.

“Adding to all of this an old English style courtyard with a European inspired water feature will provide residents with a tranquil environment where they can chat over coffee with friends at the dedicated café.

“We are delighted to be bringing such a high level of aged care to the Corinda area.  It is important that we always keep improving and raising the standards of residential accommodation for our community.”
