Leaders of seven industrialized nations come together at the G-7 summit to Pledge at least 1 billion COVID-19 vaccine shots for the other countries in the world that are facing short of Vaccines. Half of these doses will be coming from the U.S. while 100 million from the U.K.

These commitments of sharing vaccines from U.S. President Joe Biden and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson set the direction at the G-7 meeting held in southwest England.

Along with driving the world out of the pandemic, the leaders also hope that the G-7 meeting will also boost the global economy. On Friday, the leaders of G-7 countries are set to formally accept the global minimum tax on corporations of at least 15%. This agreement is set to stop companies from avoiding taxes by using tax havens and other tools.
