Before starting the second year of graduate school in the Fall, I’d like to dive into some literature for fun!
I’m keeping track of my Summer reading here…
- Furiously Happy – Jenny Lawson
- Conversations with Friends – Sally Rooney
- Normal People – Sally Rooney
- Baby Teeth – Zoje Stage
- Anxious People – Fredrik Backman
Furiously Happy is one of my favorite books, so I wanted to kick off the summer by rereading that one!
My favorite new book so far is Anxious People. It is a character-driven story of a bank robbery gone wrong. It is a heartfelt comedy, yet it also tackles serious topics such as suicidality, grief, guilt, desperation, and hopelessness. There are wild, random plot twists that will keep you on your toes. I really loved it!
If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
Other books I’m thinking of reading include Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine (Gail Honeyman), Crying in H Mart (Michelle Zauner), and Cult Classic: A Novel (Sloane Crosley).
