Michael Bloomberg’s gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety has scored quite a coup by convincingseveral NBA stars to appear inits new video. The New York Times reportsthat the idea originated with director Spike Lee, who approachedESPN president John Skipper, who then took the idea toNBA commissioner Adam Silver.
We sincerely didn’t know the NBA had apresident of social responsibility, butKathleen Behrens, who holds the position, told the New York Times, “We know far too many people who have been caught up in gun violence in this country, and we can do something about it.”

President Obama, currently on vacation in Hawaii, tweeted his thanks to the NBA for contributing to Everytown’s gun control Effort.
