In response to the Governor’s Executive Order Cascadia Eye has implemented the following changes*
Nov. 17, 2020
1 – Optical (retail) will be limited to 25% capacity (1 customer per optician). As such, you may have to wait in your car or come back should you need to place an order or get an adjustment.
2 – In order to be in compliance with capacity limits, at our busier locations, we will not be offering in-person eyewear dispenses. Your eyewear will be available for pick up in a self-serve designated area just inside the office front doors.
3 – We have closed all areas in our office where patients or staff can congregate (lunch rooms, meeting rooms, waiting rooms, dilating areas) and bring patients with appointments directly to their private exam room.
4 – Any and all staff that can productively work from home will be allowed to do so.
5 – Any staff traveling outside of our state (with medical exceptions) will be required to quarantine for 14 days before returning to work.
6 – People in the community (not patients) who need adjustments and repairs to their eyewear will not be allowed in. We will use an envelope system to collect eyewear needing repairs and will return via self-serve pick-up (see #2 above).
7 – All contact lens orders will be “no-contact” in that we will order and then mail to your home.
8 – NO patients, even those with medical reasons, will be allowed in without a mask or face shield (we will supply the face shields).
*These precautions are in addition to those we are all familiar with; please practice six foot social distancing, wearing a mask, and washing hands often and thoroughly. Our clinic is dedicated to disinfecting and cleanliness, and is working hard to create a safe environment. Please see the red “Safety” banner on our website for more details.
We are optimistic that with all of us working together to stop the community spread of COVID, we can be back to normal soon. Please accept our apologies for any inconveniences these measures cause you and our appreciation for you doing your part!
