Healthy habits to adopt in 2018 when living with diabetes

It’s a new year and a time to make the necessary adjustments to your lifestyle to ensure that you are living your best life. Moderation

Also, if you are someone that craves sweets, then portion out the sweets so that you have just the one small portion and do not over-indulge. When you indulge your cravings a little you are less likely to binge eat.

Cook at home

Whenever possible eat home cooked meals, which will help you avoid unnecessary sugars and fat. By preparing your meals at home you know exactly what goes into the dish and can make smart switches such as grilling or sautéing your proteins and veggies instead of frying. You can also make an effort to add more fresh salads, red rice and vegetables into your diet. Keep eating out for special occasions and enjoy it as a treat to yourself, for being good the rest of the time. Exercise
