Successful Introverts Have a Specific Underrated Skill

Contrary to popular belief, being an introvert does not mean you are doomed to a life of solitude and failure. In fact, some of the most Successful people in history were introverts, and they accomplished great things without ever having to leave the comfort of their own homes (ok, maybe they had to leave their homes at some point, but you get the point).

Take Mark Zuckerberg, for example. He’s the mastermind behind Facebook, one of the most successful social media platforms in the world. And yet, he’s an introvert. How did he do it? Well, he probably just sat at home, coding away, while all the extroverts were out there socializing and networking. And look at him now, he’s got more friends than you can shake a stick at (ok, not really, but you get the point).

You perhaps already figured out that special quality that Successful Introverts have.

Successful introverts write clearly

Juliette Han is a Harvard neuroscientist, and she now speaks out via CNBC about the underrated skill that all successful people have, and introverts are especially gifted: the ability to write clearly.

She even shares some precious advice for those who want to manifest their writing skills.

When it comes to getting your message across, it’s all about choosing the right delivery method. Think of it like ordering a pizza; you wouldn’t want to put pepperoni on a dessert pizza, right? In the same way, certain formats work better for certain types of information. For example, if you’re trying to showcase some complex data, a PowerPoint presentation complete with charts, graphs and images are like the pepperoni on your pizza; it just works.

On the other hand, if you’re announcing some important management decisions, an email with bullet points is like the cheese on your pizza; it’s simple but effective. And when it comes to progress updates or feedback, a quick email or in-person visit is like the tomato sauce on your pizza; it’s the perfect amount of information to get the job done.

Another important aspect of effective communication is using language that is easy for everyone to understand. Jargon and industry acronyms can be like the anchovies on a pizza, some people love it, but others just don’t get it. So, it’s best to stick to plain and simple language. Consider using graphics or analogies to help drive your point home.

Juliette Han didn’t make any analogy with pizza, it’s true, but you get the point.
