What is Lean Drink

It is very common to hear people ask whats Lean or whats in lean and the answer to the question is very simple: Lean is a purple drink concocted from cough syrups containing Promethazine with Codeine such as sizzurp, to which sprite soda from the Coca cola company and Jolly rancher candy are added. The process of combining these ingredients to produce lean is what is termed as lean manufacturing, and origin or history of the drink has been traced to Houston Texas. The euphoric feeling and the addictive characteristic conferred by this concoction is mainly due to the codeine content of the syrup.

In Ireland, due to its high potential for misuse and addiction, codeine is listed as a controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Acts 1977 and 1984. In most countries around the world, it is illegal to use codeine for non-medicinal purposes or without medical supervision.

Is Lean Bad for You?

YES ! There are several life threatening effects of lean on the human body apart from its huge impact of mental and behavioral health. The pseudo-atmosphere of temporary euphoria created by the consumption of lean predisposes the consumer to high risk behaviour and its attendant consequences. Drinking lean for the first time is the biggest mistake as it triggers the urge to consume more and more eventually leading to addiction.

How Long Does Lean Last in The Human Body?

It takes approximately 16 hours or less for codeine, the main component in lean to be eliminated from your body. However, other metabolites of codeine such as morphine-3-gluceronide and codeine-6-glucuronide could take up to 24 hours before they are completely eliminated from the body.
