Kids and CBD – What Every parent Need to Know

Like you, some parents are still unsure of the possible effects of CBD on their kids. Can I give my kids CBD? Is it advisable to use CBD for child anxiety? We’d address what all parents should know about CBD in the health and lifestyle of their kids.

The introduction of CBD’s medicinal properties is a notable invention of the 21st century. There has been lots of research and new innovative approaches to using CBD, even for kids.

CBD has outrightly helped struggling young adults and the elderly get out of depression, manage pain and relieve stress, but let’s see if it has the same positive results in kids.

Can I Give My Kids CBD?

Before introducing your kids to CBD, you should speak with a healthcare professional.

And yes, CBD has medicinal properties that are useful in helping kids struggling with ADHD and sleepless nights. It’s often relaxing and relieving on so many levels. The problem, however, is finding a Reliable CBD you can use.

4 Things You Should Know As A Parent Before Giving Your Kids CBD

There have been some studies on kids and CBD. Yet, available information on CBD is limited. What we know, however, is that CBD is instrumental in the treatment of stress and pain. CBD has recently been believed to help kids with emotional imbalances and ADHD. As a result, many parents have become more open-minded about its use for their wards.

You can decide to also use CBD for children’s sleep. But before you do, here are the 4 things you should know about kids and CBD oils or CBD-infused products.

  1.  CBD is not THC

There are more than 100 cannabinoids in cannabis. Only two are recognized because of their potent and general effect. Cannabidiol (CBD) and Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Contrary to popular opinion, both compounds have a distinct nature and effect. At the same time, THC is a psychotic compound –one that’s responsible for highness in cannabis. CBD has a mild soothing approach that helps you handle stress and pain.  Both compounds have their unique role. The belief that using CBD for your kid might get them high or intoxicated is a blatant lie.

  1. Don’t Randomly Purchase CBD for your kids online

Some online stores have bogus stories and outrageous testimony to promote their inferior CBD product, and many ignorant parents are going for it. For some reason, it’s tempting to talk about this non-psychotic CBD oil and also want to include them in your kid’s meals. The reality is that it’s detrimental to blindly trust everything you see online.

The problem is that standard food associations like the FDA do not calibrate CBD products. Hence, it becomes unsafe to trust whatever is written on the product’s label, as much of the information provided on the label can be false or inaccurate. It’s why at calm better days, we ensure that the brands we represent are the only brands that allow third-party testing. This is an investigative approach we use to lab-test the product for its composition and properties.

  1. CBD Oil Works for more than one Ailment

While many of the drugs that claim to be multi-purpose are a fraud, CBD might be an exception. However, CBD doesn’t claim to solve all ailments. It has proven reliable for relieving pain and stress; it can alleviate the symptoms of asthma, can reduce inflammation, and is widely an effective therapeutic use. This is because CBD is more of a catalyst than a drug. It does not alter your body’s chemicals. Rather it boosts the production of chemicals like serotonin and dopamine. Before you place your kids or ward on CBD-infused medication, it’s advised to consult a physician/doctor.

  1. CBD is Legal but can be contaminated

CBD can be derived from hemp. But, its quality is subpar compared to CBD derived from marijuana. Particularly concerning is that CBDs can be contaminated depending on the manufacturing processes. While CBD is legal and can be purchased from stores or dispensaries, it isn’t easy to find a reliable supplier with quality CBD products

CBD has potential advantages for seizures, pain syndromes, and nausea. However, it’s still a medication without standard and FDA regulation which opens the door for possibilities of contamination. The only solution is to buy from reliable stores.
